We are seeking a Construction Superintendent to join our team! You will be on site to oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation on a new ground up multifamily building in The Bronx. The ideal candidate is a problem solver that has strong leadership skills that can execute and deliver a project on time.
Responsibilities:
- Direct and supervise all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and schedules.
- Create and maintain the project schedule as well as lookaheads.
- Manage subcontractors, vendors, deliveries, and field staff to maintain efficient workflows and resolve conflicts.
- Monitor site safety and enforce compliance with OSHA regulations, NYC DOB requirements, and company safety policies.
- Conduct daily site walks and progress meetings, maintaining detailed project documentation and reporting to project management.
- Coordinate with inspectors, owners, and design teams to keep projects moving forward within schedule.
- Conduct material take offs and estimating.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years experience in construction management and ground up construction
- NYC DOB Site Superintendent License
- Familiarity with construction management software such as Procore or similar
- Strong leadership qualities
- Strong negotiation skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
