Phlebotomist I – Canon City, CO (Full-Time, Onsite)
Location: Canon City, CO 81212
Contract- 3+months contract
Schedule: Mon–Fri, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM (30-minute lunch)
Pay Rate: $17-$19/hr
Join one of the most respected names in diagnostics! We’re looking for a dedicated and skilled Phlebotomist I to provide excellent patient care and accurate specimen collection at our Canon City Patient Service Center in Canon City, CO.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform quality blood draws on patients of all ages – pediatrics through geriatrics
- Conduct specimen processing, front desk reception, and data entry duties
- Ensure proper specimen labeling, handling, and transport
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional environment
- Collaborate with a team of 3 other phlebotomists while working largely independently
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of phlebotomy experience required
- Ability to handle 120–130 patients daily in a high-volume PSC
- Comfortable with hard sticks and drawing blood from both pediatric and geriatric patients
- Strong computer skills and attention to detail
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- TB test and color vision screening required
- Must be able to stand most of the shift
- Training will be conducted in Colorado Springs (week 1), then on-site in Canon City (week 2)
