Reports To: Health Services Lead, Health Services Coordinator and Guest Services Manager

The Health Specialist is responsible to assist the Health Services Lead in the day-to-day operations of Health Services caring for the needs of campers and staff. The Health Services Specialist is responsible for communication with parents of campers as needed.

Key Job Functions

• Assist with daily organization and distribution of camper medications.
• Responsible to care for and effectively problem-solve camper and staff health and physical needs.
• Reach out and inform parents regarding to camper health concerns when deemed necessary and appropriate.
• Assist camp volunteer medical professionals with daily tasks.
• Ability to be available for on-call rotation to respond to staff and camper emergencies.
• Complete other duties as assigned by the Health Services Lead, Health Services Coordinator and Guest Services Manager.

Secondary Job Functions

• Participate in a variety of guest group specific tasks and responsibilities to facilitate the SpringHill Experience for guest groups during the summer.
• Participate in a variety of tasks and responsibilities to facilitate the SpringHill Experience for families during the summer.

Requirements:

• Commitment to the mission and ministry philosophy of SpringHill.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Degree in related field preferred.
• Prior medical and/or health services experience preferred.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift, bend, and twist.
• Ability to push and pull loads.
• Must be able to lift frequently up to 35 lbs.; occasionally 35-100 lbs. with assistance.
• Good hand-eye coordination.
