Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available to provide essential services in a K-12 school setting located near Naval Anacost Annex, Washington, DC. This contract position covers a maternity leave from January 5, 2026, through June 17, 2026, with expected hours totaling 20 per week plus the possibility of up to 4 additional hours.
Key responsibilities include delivering direct speech-language pathology services to students utilizing evidence-based practices. The role supports communication development for a diverse pediatric population in both onsite and teletherapy formats. Collaboration with educators and healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans will be central to this position.
Desired qualifications and experience include:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) or equivalent experience
- Familiarity with pediatric speech and language development in educational settings
- Experience providing teletherapy services is highly valued
- Ability to work effectively with children from pre-kindergarten through high school
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
