The Orthopaedic Surgery Department at our organization is seeking a highly skilled, accredited non-operative faculty member to enhance its extensive pediatric program. This role will be part of the Health Sciences Clinical Professor series, with the academic rank reflecting the candidate's experience and qualifications.

Located on the UC Davis Health campus in Sacramento, CA, our department is recognized as the leading pediatric service provider in the greater Sacramento area. Sacramento is a family-friendly city with convenient access to the San Francisco Bay area, Lake Tahoe, the Sierra Nevada Mountains, the California Coast, and Napa Valley.

EXPECTATIONS

The selected candidate will deliver outpatient pediatric orthopaedic non-operative care at both UC Davis Health and Shriners Hospitals. Responsibilities will also include teaching and supervising fellows, residents, and medical students, as well as participating in departmental meetings, conferences, and various hospital and departmental committees.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must hold an M.D. (or an equivalent degree) and have completed an accredited residency program in Family Medicine, Pediatrics, or PM&R. Candidates should be eligible for licensure in California and/or possess an active California medical license prior to the start date of the appointment. Experience in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows is essential. The ability to collaborate effectively in a diverse environment and comply with university policies and procedures is required. Prior teaching experience in an academic clinical setting is preferred.

This recruitment is open for the Assistant or Associate rank. The successful candidate will be appointed at either the Assistant or Associate level, depending on qualifications.

The salary range for this position is as follows: $200,000-$265,000 for the Assistant level and $228,000-$285,000 for the Associate level. This role includes participation in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan.
