Degree in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT Certification), and minimum 1+ years MRI experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An experienced MRI technologist is sought for a contract position in Elkhorn, NE, utilizing advanced imaging technology. This role involves performing high-quality magnetic resonance imaging procedures under radiologist supervision, ensuring accurate diagnostic images that support patient treatment plans. Active participation in teaching and research activities will contribute to the advancement of MRI services within the department.
Responsibilities:
- Perform MRI procedures using Philips and GE scanners with precision and care
- Collaborate closely with radiologists to produce accurate imaging data
- Participate in educational and research initiatives related to MRI
- Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members
- Manage challenging patient interactions professionally, escalating as necessary
- Utilize Epic EMR and McKesson imaging systems for clinical documentation
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Completion of a JRCERT-accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Current ARRT MRI certification (R)(MRI) required
- Minimum of 5 years MRI experience, including at least 1 year in a Level I Trauma Hospital setting
- Proficiency with Philips MRI equipment highly preferred
- Skilled in basic computer navigation and email communication
- Strong multitasking abilities
- Demonstrated ability to handle difficult customer interactions appropriately
Additional Information:
- Dress code requires red uniforms
- The facility operates seven MRI scanners on campus
- Candidates may require time off during the assignment; please disclose in advance
