Job Description:
Talent Corps is seeking experienced Commercial Electricians with a strong background in hospital and healthcare construction. This role involves installing electrical systems in both active and new healthcare environments while maintaining strict compliance with safety codes, infection control protocols, and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, route, and terminate electrical systems in hospital environments
- Work with conduit (EMT, Rigid, IMC), cable tray systems, MC cable, and hospital-grade wiring
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and healthcare-specific electrical drawings
- Install and connect lighting (including surgical and emergency), power distribution systems, panels, switchgear, transformers, and disconnects
- Work with low voltage systems (fire alarm, nurse call, data/communication lines)
- Ensure compliance with NEC and healthcare facility regulations
- Follow infection control risk assessment (ICRA) procedures in active hospital settings
- Coordinate with other trades to minimize disruption to operations
- Test systems, ensure proper grounding, and troubleshoot issues as needed
- Maintain a safe and clean job site per OSHA standards
Requirements:
- 5+ years of commercial electrical experience
- Hospital/healthcare project experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of NEC and local electrical codes
- Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics
- Familiarity with infection control procedures is a plus
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 preferred
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in confined spaces
- Comfortable working at heights (ladders, lifts, scaffolding)
- Ability to work in active job sites and operational hospital environments
Tools Required:
- Basic electrician hand tools
- Power tools (drill, impact, saw)
- Electrical testing equipment (multimeter, voltage tester)
