Accountant – Gainesville, GA
We are seeking a dedicated, part-time accountant for a unique opportunity in our Family Office. The ideal candidate must have a solid understanding of the principles of accounting, should be detail oriented with good communication and organization skills, must be able to maintain confidentiality and discretion with private financial information, and should possess the ability to work independently and with others in the office, including the friendly office canine!
Qualifications:
· Intermediate skill level in QuickBooks
· Understanding of accounting fundamentals
· Excellent organization skills
· Intermediate skill level in Excel is preferred
· Experience using both Windows and Mac platforms preferred
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to maintain a positive attitude while adapting to changing priorities
· Comfortable with some complexity: multiple entities, accounts, investments
· Familiarity with stock and investment transactions is a plus
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
· Maintain and reconcile QuickBooks accounting records for multiple entities
· Maintenance of Excel spreadsheets and Word documents
· Multiple credit card and bank statement reconciliations
· Preparation of tax documents for submission to accounting firm
· Accounts payable processing
· Payroll submission to payroll processor
· Other general office duties as assigned
Education
· High school diploma or GED required
· Bachelor or associate degree preferred
