Job Description
The Bookkeeper will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial and inventory records, supporting period-end close processes, and ensuring smooth data flow within our accounting systems. This role requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of cost accounting, and hands-on experience managing inventory and product coding.
Temp-To-Hire role paying $25.00-$40.00 per hour depending on experience!
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee weekly and period-end reporting, inventory valuation, and cost updates.
- Develop inventory and detailed cost analysis reports.
- Identify and recommend improvements for inventory and cost-control procedures.
- Support special finance and operational projects.
- Enter and code A/P bills accurately.
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Prepare W-9s and 1099s; assist with sales tax preparation (reviewed by CPA firm).
- Create and manage product numbers, item codes, and inventory by size.
- Correct inventory errors and maintain accurate records in QuickBooks.
- Prepare proforma invoices and allocate items for shipment.
- Utilize QuickBooks AI and other tools to streamline workflow.
- Maintain understanding of wholesale processes and inventory movement.
Qualifications
- Must have excellent knowledge and a strong QuickBooks experience (QuickBooks Online or Enterprise).
- MUST have prior manufacturing or wholesale experience
- Solid understanding of cost accounting and inventory control principles.
- Strong analytical skills and clear, professional communication.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field, with relevant experience in cost
