Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher specializing in Early Childhood Special Education within an elementary school setting in Crete, NE. This full-time, on-site contract position runs through the current school year until May 22, 2026. The role involves working with a caseload of up to 20 young children in a Pre-K classroom, with a consistent site assignment to foster a stable learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs), and all related special education documentation.
Maintain consistent communication with early childhood team members and families to support student progress and address individual needs.
Complete all required paperwork specific to early childhood special education.
Participate as a member of the evaluation team to determine student eligibility for early childhood special education services.

Qualifications:

Valid Special Education certification in Nebraska.
Certification in Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) or an inclusive Early Childhood (EC) certification is mandatory.
Experience working in early childhood special education settings is strongly preferred.
Strong organizational and communication skills to effectively collaborate with families and education teams.

Schedule and Location:

Full-time hours from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM or 8:15 AM to 3:45 PM.
Work will be conducted onsite within a single Pre-K classroom setting, with no travel between sites required.
