Are you looking to make a direct impact in patient care and healthcare operations? We are currently seeking a Radiology Scheduler to support our Perioperative and Interventional regions. As a Radiology Scheduler, you will be the first point of contact for patients and play a key role in managing a smooth and efficient scheduling process. The ideal Radiology Scheduler thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels in communication, and is passionate about patient service.


Responsibilities

  • Schedule pre-operative appointments in APEC and IR grids.
  • Scan and upload radiology records to PACS and Life Image.
  • Coordinate new and return patient scheduling, including imaging studies and clinic visits.
  • Manage a high volume of incoming and outgoing patient calls.
  • Maintain follow-up communication with patients after procedures.
  • Work directly with Nurse Practitioners to ensure smooth scheduling processes.
  • Support managers with patient openings and schedule blocks (Super User duties).
  • Perform case intake and scheduling.
  • Retrieve and view medical records via RightFax.
  • Scan and distribute external medical documentation.
  • Run location-specific reports for various medical facilities.
  • Attend weekly staff meetings and contribute to team discussions.
  • Cross-train in all scheduling functions to allow departmental rotations.

Job Requirements

  • Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate's Degree preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology is a plus.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong communication skills—both verbal and written.
  • Basic computer skills, including knowledge of Windows, Excel, and Word.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in high-pressure situations.
  • Comfort working with Windows-based office software and other clinical systems.
  • Experience with scheduling software, medical record systems, and RightFax is preferred.
  • Proven ability to build trust and collaborate effectively with patients and clinical staff.
  • Demonstrated professionalism and calmness in high-stress environments.
