Are you looking to make a direct impact in patient care and healthcare operations? We are currently seeking a Radiology Scheduler to support our Perioperative and Interventional regions. As a Radiology Scheduler, you will be the first point of contact for patients and play a key role in managing a smooth and efficient scheduling process. Responsibilities
- Schedule pre-operative appointments in APEC and IR grids.
- Scan and upload radiology records to PACS and Life Image.
- Coordinate new and return patient scheduling, including imaging studies and clinic visits.
- Manage a high volume of incoming and outgoing patient calls.
- Maintain follow-up communication with patients after procedures.
- Work directly with Nurse Practitioners to ensure smooth scheduling processes.
- Support managers with patient openings and schedule blocks (Super User duties).
- Perform case intake and scheduling.
- Retrieve and view medical records via RightFax.
- Scan and distribute external medical documentation.
- Run location-specific reports for various medical facilities.
- Attend weekly staff meetings and contribute to team discussions.
- Cross-train in all scheduling functions to allow departmental rotations.
Job Requirements
- Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associate's Degree preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology is a plus.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong communication skills—both verbal and written.
- Basic computer skills, including knowledge of Windows, Excel, and Word.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in high-pressure situations.
- Comfort working with Windows-based office software and other clinical systems.
- Experience with scheduling software, medical record systems, and RightFax is preferred.
- Proven ability to build trust and collaborate effectively with patients and clinical staff.
- Demonstrated professionalism and calmness in high-stress environments.
