Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school in Cheney, WA is seeking Special Education Teachers for grades K-5, 6-8, and 9-12 for a contract position running from January 2026 through June 2026. This role offers the opportunity to work with self-contained classrooms, resource rooms, and special day classrooms, supporting a diverse caseload of K-12 students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to individual student needs
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Maintain accurate records and comply with state and federal regulations
Qualifications:
- Active State Teaching License in Special Education
- Experience working with students across K-12 grades
- Ability to manage various classroom settings, including self-contained and resource rooms
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Schedule and Compensation:
- Contract duration: January 2026 to June 2026
- Workweek: 5 days, 30 to 37.5 hours
