About the Role Does the idea of being a healthcare subject matter expert with a significant role in closing business at a fast-growing, late stage start-up sound like your jam? Are you looking for an organization where your expertise and experience are not only needed, but valued? If so, we’ve got an opportunity with your name written all over it! We are seeking a Senior Healthcare Engagement Strategist to join our Performance Strategy and Sales Enablement team. Using your critical thinking and presentation skills, you will be out front hearing from health plans what their market problems are, and creating and presenting ways to solve them. In this position, you will report directly to our Vice President of Performance Strategy and Sales Enablement.
Why We Need You
- Ride shotgun with the sales team in the development and articulation of the appropriate program design based on the needs and goals of the health plan
- Partner closely with key Icario stakeholders, including Program Execution, Performance Managers, Client Success and Finance to develop persuasive, data-driven cases to clients and prospects
- Participate in client engagement prospect and client meetings, both onsite and telephonic, to support the sales team presenting programs and plan delivery strategies
- Partner with finance on Medicaid and Medicare models – reviewing functionality and addressing gaps or issues
- Refine and, if necessary, redesign the existing value propositions to create meaningful differentiators based on corporate strategies and product development
- Participate in industry conferences to continue to provide insight and redefine our positioning based on market trends
- Collaborate with key stakeholders in Product, Marketing, Sales and Client Success to provide market input on a regular basis
- Pre-COVID travel requirements were around 10%-15% travel

- BA/MBA with healthcare and well-being industry consumer engagement experience preferred, extensive demonstrated relevant experience will also be considered
- 3+ years experience in strategic program development for health plans
- Deep knowledge of all lines of business within health insurance plans, including Medicare, Medicaid and Commercial
- Can confidently lead discussions with stakeholders on the turbulent evolution of health services and in the importance of consumerism in the upcoming evolution
- Deep knowledge of best practices in consumer engagement is desired
- Excellent listening skills; self-directed individual that can create trusted advisor relationships
- Ability to synthesize complex concepts into memorable, compelling stories
- Quick study with an intrinsic commitment to continuous learning
- Team player able to instill confidence and motivate colleagues
- Demonstrated willingness to support success of your peers
