Job Description
Job Description
We are looking for a Medical Laboratory Technician/ Technologist (Full-Time) to join our in-house laboratory team. This role is perfect for an organized detail-oriented individual that enjoys the comforts of the lab environment but also enjoys interacting with patients face-to-face. Many of our employees have been with the practice for many years due to the enjoyable working environment, entertaining coworkers, and supportive relationships with the management and partners.
A little bit about our practice:
Spring Valley Pediatrics has been providing primary care services to children, adolescents, and young adults in the greater Washington DC area for more than 90 years. Our office is open 365 days a year, including weekends and holidays, with a physician on-call 24/7. We love getting to know our patients and their families here at our office and over the phone. Clear effective communication between the patient, nurse, and pediatrician is one of our top priorities. Our staff and experienced team of physicians are committed to providing individualized care to each of our patients, reinforced by our emphasis on care continuity. Our patients see or speak to their personal primary care provider and nurse each time they visit or call. This consistency as each patient grows-up with us allows our staff to strengthen their personal relationships with the family, build rapport with the patient, and provide a comfortable atmosphere for discussion during each visit.
At SVP we are proud to have a small moderate-complexity CLIA compliant clinical laboratory staffed each day of operation that collects and tests a variety of patient specimens in order to assess, diagnose, or treat a wide range of conditions.
