✦ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Enter tax data from physical and digital documents into secure systems with precision and speed
- Review W-2s, 1099s, bank statements, receipts, and source documents for accuracy and completeness
- Identify missing information and collaborate with clients or senior preparers to resolve discrepancies
- Maintain detailed client files and strict confidentiality in line with IRS regulations and internal privacy protocols
- Label, tag, and sort documentation for fast access and audit readiness
- Assist with amended returns, IRS correspondence prep, and error reconciliation
- Track workflow progress and meet firm-wide productivity and compliance benchmarks
- Monitor for red flags that could signal fraudulent or suspicious submissions
- Support the tax preparation team in peak season with filing system management, portal uploads, and digital verifications
- Report to the Compliance Officer and Lead Tax Strategist for oversight reviews
✦ REQUIREMENTS ✦ Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience preparing and filing tax returns
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Experience navigating tax software systems (Crosslink familiarity preferred)
- Ability to read, interpret, and input IRS tax forms accurately
- Minimum typing speed of 50+ WPM with 95%+ accuracy (proof required)
- Experience with secure document tools (e.g., JotForm)
- Knowledge of basic tax concepts such as AGI, credits, deductions, and dependents
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational discipline
- Ability to manage deadlines independently and maintain strict confidentiality
- Professional phone communication skills
- Comfortable learning new CRM or client management systems
- Reliable internet connection and distraction-free workspace
- Willingness to comply with background checks and data integrity screening

- Seasonal role: January – April (Peak Tax Season)
- Remote position with Miami, FL worksite base
- Schedule: Jan – Apr: 8AM – 6PM
- Starting pay: $16–$20/hour based on accuracy, typing speed, and experience
- Biweekly pay with overtime opportunities during peak season
- Full-time consideration after successful 90-day evaluation
