Location: Bronx, NY 10451
Contract Length: 8 Weeks (No Extension)
Schedule: Days or Nights | 3×12 Hour Shifts
Weekly Hours: Approximately 34.5 Hours per Week
Compensation

Local Candidates: $65 per hour

Travelers: $80 per hour
Position Overview
A healthcare facility in Bronx, New York is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU).
The ideal candidate will have strong critical care experience and the ability to manage high-acuity patients in a fast-paced ICU environment while collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Key Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients in the Medical ICU.

Monitor patient conditions, vital signs, and response to treatment.

Administer medications, IV therapies, and critical care interventions as prescribed.

Perform IV insertions and phlebotomy procedures as required.

Assist physicians during procedures and patient care activities.

Manage and monitor patients receiving conscious sedation.

Respond to emergency situations and provide rapid clinical intervention.

Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Required Experience
-
Minimum 2 years of Critical Care / ICU experience
-
At least 2 years of IV insertion and phlebotomy experience

Minimum 2 years of conscious sedation experience
Required Certifications & Licensure
-
Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License
-
Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association
-
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – American Heart Association
Education
-
Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN or ADN) from an accredited nursing program
