Job Overview:
Pharmaron is seeking an In Vivo Training Supervisor to lead and enhance training programs across our preclinical operations. This role is responsible for developing and delivering high-quality training for our Quality System, in vivo technical procedures, and animal care best practices. Partnering closely with Human Resources and the Director of Preclinical Operations, the Training Supervisor ensures staff are equipped with the knowledge and skills to perform animal-related activities safely, effectively, and consistently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee onboarding and training for all employees
- Develop, implement, and maintain a structured training curriculum covering orientation, technical skills, and ongoing development.
- Deliver training in animal handling, dosing, bleeding, necropsy, and related procedures across multiple species.
- Conduct Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and mandatory procedural training.
- Facilitate "Train the Trainer" programs to build internal training capacity.
- Perform facility walk-throughs, observe technical proficiencies, and provide hands-on coaching as needed.
- Analyze training outcomes and recommend improvements to enhance effectiveness and consistency.
- Maintain departmental training matrices and coordinate compliance with training requirements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally on initiatives supporting employee development and departmental goals.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in a life sciences field or equivalent training/certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in training design and delivery.
- 3–5 years of direct animal experience with both small and large species in a research setting.
- Strong knowledge of dosing, bleeding, and necropsy techniques across species.
- AAALAS certification preferred.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to adapt training methods to diverse learners and business needs.
