We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler who can expertly read and interpret blueprints and work instructions to construct conveyor systems. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving abilities, knowledge of mechanical components used in manufacturing, and proficiency with the metric system. Mechanical skills and the ability to use hand tools are essential.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions to build conveyor systems.
- Utilize mechanical skillsets and knowledge of hand tools.
- Communicate effectively with the first shift supervisor about completed tasks and upcoming tasks for the first shift.
- Operate CNC machines at least 80% of the time, inspect parts, and prepare the next order.
- Run 3-axis CNC machines and manage typical production runs of 2-5 hours.
- Perform 2-3 set-ups per shift and work with aluminum materials.
- Maintain low tolerances, typically no tighter than +/- .01.
- Cross-train on Panel Router.
Essential Skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical assembly or CNC operations.
- Proficiency with hand, power, and air tools.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in using and understanding the metric system.
- Familiarity with wiring, tape measures, and power tools.
- Accountability and the ability to own one's work.

Work Environment
Work in a very clean, well-organized facility with three Tekna horizontal CNC profile mills. The first shift operates from 7:00am to 4:30pm, with flexibility from 7:00am to 5:00pm once permanent. The second shift runs from 2:00pm to 10:30pm. You will primarily work with aluminum and run typical production runs of 2-5 hours, with occasional short runs of 5 minutes or longer runs of a few hours.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
