Job Title: Registered Nurse – Psych/Behavioral
Job Location: St. Louis, MO 63139
Setting: Onsite – Psychiatric / Correctional Facility
Contract Duration: 23 weeks

Openings: 24 RNs

• 11 Day Shift

• 13 Night Shift

Shift Schedule:

• 12-hour shifts, alternating 36 and 48 hours per week

• Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM

• Night Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM

• All shifts include a 30-minute break

Pay Package: Weekly Gross: $2,162

Position Summary:

The Registered Nurse (Psych/Behavioral) provides comprehensive nursing care to individuals in a psychiatric and correctional treatment environment. This role requires experience in behavioral health and institutional care, strong clinical judgment, and the ability to function effectively in a structured, secure setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to individuals in a psychiatric or correctional facility.

• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and monitor patient conditions.

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.

• Implement and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.

• Observe, document, and report patient behaviors, symptoms, and responses to treatment.

• Collaborate with physicians, mental health professionals, and multidisciplinary teams.

• Participate in patient safety initiatives and crisis intervention as required.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with facility, state, and federal regulations.

• Provide patient education and support related to treatment and recovery.

• Adhere to all facility policies, safety protocols, and confidentiality requirements.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience working as an RN in a psychiatric or correctional setting.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a travel RN.

• Ability to work 12-hour shifts on days or nights.

• Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills.

• Ability to function effectively in a secure and structured care environment.
