Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Special Education teaching opportunity is available within a K-12 school setting located near Aurora, CO. This contract position, running through the current school year, supports diverse student needs across multiple schools in the Denver area, focusing on specialized education services.

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering targeted instruction and support as a Special Education Teacher in various roles, including Affective Needs, Learning Specialist, and Significant Support Needs for students with cognitive challenges.
  • Collaborating with school staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student requirements.
  • Maintaining accurate records, monitoring progress, and adapting teaching methods to promote student success.
  • Engaging with families and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive service delivery.

Locations include Rocky Mountain Elementary School, Thunder Vista P-8, Century Middle School, and Thornton Middle School, with assignments beginning as early as January 2026 or sooner. This role requires flexibility and a commitment to serving students across these schools within the Adams 12 School District.

Qualifications:

  • Active Colorado Department of Education Special Education certification.
  • Experience preferred ranging from entry level to advanced, with a significant emphasis on working within special education classrooms.
  • Ability to manage caseloads that involve students with affective, learning, and significant support needs.
  • Strong communication skills and adaptability in a dynamic educational environment.

This position offers a meaningful way to impact K-12 students requiring specialized support, with a full-time schedule (35+ hours per week) and the opportunity to work on-site within the Denver metro area.
