Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A Special Education teaching opportunity is available for the 20252026 school year in a K-12 setting located in Claremont, NH. This contract position involves working up to 37.5 hours weekly from January 5, 2025, through approximately June 12, 2026. The role requires a candidate proficient in supporting students with disabilities through virtual case management and special education services.
Key responsibilities include:
- Writing, implementing, and monitoring Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) using the NHSEIS platform.
- Collaborating virtually with educators, parents, and service providers through platforms such as Canvas and Zoom.
- Utilizing data and behavior-tracking tools to monitor student progress and inform instructional decisions.
- Applying a solid understanding of federal and state special education laws, including IDEA and New Hampshires regulations, especially as they relate to virtual instruction.
- Assessing students with behavioral and affective disorders and providing positive behavioral supports individually and in groups.
- Conducting observations, preparing detailed behavioral and academic reports, and working cohesively with administrators, colleagues, families, and community partners.
- Demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills and strong written and verbal communication abilities in English.
Qualifications and experience desired:
- Must meet all New Hampshire state certification requirements for special education.
- Candidates must have prior experience as a virtual special education case manager in New Hampshire.
- Familiarity with virtual delivery methods and compliance requirements in special education.
- Ability to effectively use multiple virtual collaboration and data-monitoring platforms.
