Job Description**Mechanical Assembler
**
Big Lake, MN
Full-Time | 1st Shift (Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
$20.00 – $22.00 per hour
**Position Summary
**
We are seeking a Mechanical Assembler to assemble machines and sub-assemblies according to customer specifications. This role follows blueprints, written instructions, and verbal direction to ensure accurate and efficient assembly. The position works under direct supervision and follows established guidelines and procedures.
**Key Responsibilities
**
Assembly Process
- Assemble machines including sealers, tunnels, and related sub-assemblies
- Read and interpret drawings, prints, diagrams, and schematics
- Pull parts from inventory to complete machine builds
- Complete work orders, forms, and assembly checklists
- Perform basic testing, troubleshooting, and inspections
- Document and update assembly processes as needed
Engineering Interface
- Communicate with engineering regarding system or assembly issues
Additional Duties
- Maintain inventory accuracy and assist with cycle counts
- Notify supervisor of discrepancies or shortages
- Assist with training team members as needed
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
- Perform other duties as assigned
**Qualifications
**
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 0–5 years of related experience
- Ability to read and interpret drawings
- Strong hand-eye coordination
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to follow procedures and work independently
- Ability to multitask
- Basic computer and office equipment skills
