Make a significant impact as a travel Occupational Therapist at a skilled nursing facility in Holmdel, NJ. In this role, you will provide expert OT services to residents who are on the path to recovery from injuries, illnesses, or functional challenges. Your responsibilities will include assessing functional performance, crafting and executing personalized treatment plans, documenting progress, and working closely with an interdisciplinary team to facilitate safe discharges and enhance daily living skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate residents' functional performance and develop tailored treatment strategies.
- Implement individualized therapy plans and monitor progress.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
- Document all therapy sessions and outcomes accurately.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Active Occupational Therapy license in New Jersey is required to begin the assignment.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross may be necessary.
- Preferred experience in skilled nursing or long-term care environments.
- Competency in ADL/IADL training, wheelchair assessments, and adaptive equipment recommendations is preferred.
- Experience with electronic medical records documentation is advantageous.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous travel therapy experience is a plus.
- Experience with restorative nursing programs is preferred.
- Certification or training in fall prevention, manual techniques, or cognitive rehabilitation is desirable.
Assignment Details
- Shift hours: 08:30 AM to 04:30 PM.
- Work schedule: 5 days per week with 8-hour shifts.
- Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams within the facility may be required.
