Job Description\n
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience and a GA or compact RN license.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
- Labor & Delivery unit in a hospital setting
- Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed
- Local candidates are accepted for this position
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Travelers must have been away from all facilities within this health system for at least 1 full year before returning as a traveler
- RTO is capped at 7 days and may not be requested during the first week of the assignment
- Holiday coverage policy: if 1 or 2 major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them with no holiday RTO permitted; if 3 major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work 2 of them and may request 1 holiday off for approval
- Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday (counts as 1), Christmas Eve/Christmas Day (counts as 1), and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day (counts as 1)
- No alternate shifts or schedule change requests are permitted — the posted shift is firm
- Full compliance with all onboarding requirements is necessary to start on time
- Travel pairs will not be assigned to the same shift on the same unit

- Active GA or compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
- Copies of all relevant certifications required for consideration
- All requested RTO dates must be provided at time of consideration
