Job DescriptionJob Title: Contract Mechanical Installation Technician
Pay: Up to $24/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM start time (8–10 hour shifts)
Additional: Occasional Saturdays required
Project Duration: 6 weeks
Position Overview
We are looking for experienced Mechanical Installation Technicians to join our team inside a dynamic manufacturing facility who is open to contract positions. In this role, you will install chutes, mechanical components, and HMIs while working with various hand and power tools. Precision, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to follow blueprints and SOPs are essential for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Install mechanical systems, chutes, and HMIs according to project specifications
- Use a variety of hand and power tools to perform installation tasks
- Work with wires, cables, and small to large mechanical components
- Read and follow blueprints and standard operating procedures with accuracy
- Perform installations while working at heights up to 6 feet
- Maintain a safe, organized work environment in a fast-paced facility
Required Skills & Experience
- Proficiency with hand and power tools
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and SOPs
- Experience working with wires, cables, and mechanical assemblies
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving ability
- Able to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately
- Previous experience in mechanical installation, construction, carpentry, or industrial work
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
- Experience working in fast‑paced or highly mechanical environments

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
