The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) provides direct behavioral services primarily to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Working under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), the RBT implements treatment plans, conducts behavior assessments, collects data, and collaborates closely with clinical staff and families. This position typically involves managing a caseload of 1-5 clients and offers opportunities for professional development through regular training sessions and continuing education support.
Responsibilities
- Conduct behavior assessments and collect accurate data
- Implement skill acquisition and behavior intervention plans
- Monitor client progress and adjust approaches as needed
- Collaborate with BCBA for treatment planning and supervision
- Maintain detailed documentation and session notes
- Provide training and support to clients and families
- Manage crisis situations using appropriate techniques
- Communicate regularly with parents or caregivers
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles
- Proficiency in data recording and analysis
- Strong communication skills for client and parent interaction
- Experience with behavior intervention techniques
- Ability to manage crisis situations effectively
