Job Description
Ten No Meshi – Kyoto Wagyu Tonkatsu is opening its first U.S. location in Sawtelle, Los Angeles and is now hiring Kitchen Leads and Kitchen Staff for our Grand Opening team.
Rooted in Kyoto’s rich culinary tradition, Ten No Meshi brings authentic Wagyu Tonkatsu and Japanese craftsmanship to the U.S. We are looking for dedicated kitchen professionals who take pride in quality, teamwork, and consistency.
Japanese food knowledge is a plus, but not required. Training will be provided.
Positions Available
Kitchen Lead (Lead Line Cook / Kitchen Supervisor)
Responsibilities:
- Lead daily kitchen operations
- Food preparation, cooking, and plating
- Maintain food quality and consistency
- Train and support kitchen staff
- Manage prep, inventory, and cleanliness
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards
Qualifications:
- Previous kitchen or line cook experience required
- Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Japanese cuisine knowledge is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
Kitchen Staff (Line Cook / Prep Cook)
Responsibilities:
- Food prep, cooking assistance, and plating
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen
- Assist with daily kitchen operations
Qualifications:
- No experience required (training provided)
- Restaurant experience is a plus
- Interest in Japanese food is a plus
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
Schedule
- Full-time & Part-time available
- Flexible scheduling
- Weekend availability preferred
