Gibian LLC is looking for an experienced Traveling General Contractor to oversee commercial construction projects across the East Coast. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being on-site, leading crews, and seeing projects through from start to finish.
This role calls for a hands-on leader who excels in fast-paced environments and is committed to delivering high-quality work. You must be willing to travel to project sites along the East Coast, from New York to North Carolina, with employer-paid lodging provided for commutes exceeding 1.5 hours. Projects in occupied facilities may require work during the second or third shifts.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $90,000–$100,000 (DOE)
- 401(k) with 4% employer match (after 1 year)

Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day jobsite operations from start to closeout
- Oversee subcontractors, schedules, inspections, and site logistics
- Review and interpret construction drawings and project plans
- Ensure work is completed on schedule, within budget, and to spec
- Enforce OSHA and jobsite safety standards
- Coordinate with project managers and report weekly progress
- Troubleshoot jobsite challenges and keep projects moving
Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience in commercial construction (Superintendent, General Contractor, or Project Management background)
- Ability to read and interpret Architectural, Structural, and Engineering plans
- Confident leader with solid communication skills
- Organized, detail-oriented, and solution-focused
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project
- Willing to travel and work flexible schedules
