Job Title: Sales Account Manager
Reports to: President/CEO
FLSA Status: Exempt
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for account growth through both the expansion of existing products and the introduction of new products. This position will have a primary focus on NYS agencies and is responsible for driving new business within those accounts. Direct interface with NYSPSP for all product developments, additions to items sold, and process documents for OGS approvals. Support general facility maintenance and help with facility projects as needed. Sales of products to all NYS & NYC customers. Create quotes as needed to grow the business and add new products to our listing as developed. Collaborate with our suppliers to help establish pricing and product support.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
- Connect with NYS agencies (large & small) to develop teaming opportunities.
- Focus on growth opportunities.
- Maintain current customer relationships.
- Identifies, develops, pursues, captures, and wins new business for STAVI by selling current and new products.
- Engage Decision Maker/Action Officer-level to develop and implement an effective, enterprise-wide strategy that maximizes the value delivered by STAVI’s products.
- Identifies and Qualifies opportunities utilizing established criteria and processes.
- Creates Strategic Account Plan and Annual Business Plan to establish Focus of Effort, Critical Success Factors and Critical Vulnerabilities.
- Execute strategy and plan, to include the development/implementation of formal call plans to achieve strategic objectives.
- Maintains competitive knowledge and focus of market space.
- Executes call plan to ensure frequent/continuous engagement with client base and development/sustainment of favorable client relationship management.
- Maintains current, accurate, complete record of opportunities.
- Utilizes search engines to aid in prospecting/monitoring opportunities.
- Provides Weekly/Monthly Activity Reports, and sales opportunity reports/ forecasts as required.
Support Staff
- Provides administrative support as necessary
- Performs other work-related tasks as required by supervisor
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Minimum Job Requirements
- Associate’s degree in business or higher
- 5+ years of sales experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to interact with people through positive communication and interaction
- Travel required and transportation is the responsibility of the individual
- Good phone skills, PC systems, creativity and writing skills, multi-tasking skills
- Ability to develop and maintain recordkeeping systems and procedure
