Location: Bangor, ME
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Day Shift, 6:45 AM – 5:15 PM
Pay Rate: $60/hour (local travelers within 50 miles: –$10/hr)
Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week
Position Overview
Seeking an experienced Scrub Tech (Surgical Technologist) to join our surgical team on a 13-week contract. The Scrub Tech plays a critical role in maintaining a safe operating environment, supporting surgeons and the care team, and ensuring patient safety throughout surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare supplies, instruments, and equipment for surgical procedures

Scrub, gown, and glove self, surgeons, and assistants

Perform counts with circulator before and after procedures

Assist in draping and maintaining sterile fields

Pass instruments and anticipate surgeon needs during surgery

Ensure proper sterilization and prep of surgical suites between cases

Uphold the highest standards of sterile technique and patient safety

Mentor and assist new employees and students
Requirements

Trade/Technical School diploma or certificate in Surgical Technology

NBSTSA Certification required

Minimum 3 years’ Scrub Tech experience (at least 1 year in prior role preferred)

Active state license (must be current)

Current knowledge of sterile techniques, instruments, and OR standards

Strong teamwork and communication skills
