Position Summary

The Electrical Helper supports licensed electricians on job sites by assisting in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems. This role offers hands-on experience for those pursuing a career in the electrical trade, with growth opportunities through continued learning and job site exposure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist journeyman and master electricians with installation, maintenance, and repair tasks.
  • Install wiring, conduits, panels, outlets, and fixtures according to project plans and blueprints.
  • Support troubleshooting and testing of electrical systems using basic tools.
  • Pull, measure, cut, and bend wires and conduits as directed.
  • Prepare and organize tools, equipment, and materials for job site use.
  • Maintain tools and work areas in clean and organized condition.
  • Complete and submit required paperwork, reports, or documentation accurately and promptly.
  • Follow safety protocols, wear PPE, and comply with OSHA regulations.
  • Support compliance with NEC and local electrical codes.
  • Promote a safety-first culture and report hazards or unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Uphold company values and expectations in behavior, work ethic, and professionalism.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned in support of project and company goals.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in electrical or construction work (preferred).
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems and tools.
  • Strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and ability to follow directions.
  • Commitment to safety and quality work practices.
  • Reliable transportation to job sites.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • Regularly works on active construction job sites.
  • Frequently stands, walks, climbs, lifts (up to 50 lbs), bends, and uses hand tools.
  • Work may take place in varying weather conditions.
