Position: Radiologic Technologist- Diagnostic Image Manager
Duration: 13 weeks with High possibility of extension
Location: San Luis Obispo, CA 93405
Shift: Day Shift, 5 x 8s, Monday - Friday 8am to 4:30pm.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all diagnostic imaging procedures across modalities including MRI, CT, PET scan, mammography, DEXA scan, X-ray, nuclear medicine, and sonography to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Manage daily operations of the imaging department, optimizing workflow efficiency and resource allocation within hospital settings.
- Ensure strict adherence to aseptic techniques and safety protocols to maintain a sterile environment and prevent contamination or infections during procedures.
- Oversee staff training and continuing education initiatives related to medical imaging advancements, anatomy knowledge, and physiology updates.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate accurate diagnosis and effective treatment planning using diagnostic radiology tools.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation within EMR systems such as Epic to ensure accurate patient records and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Implement quality assurance measures for all imaging procedures while promoting best practices in medical terminology and technical procedures.
- Lead departmental initiatives for process improvement and technological upgrades in medical imaging equipment to enhance patient experience and diagnostic precision.
Qualifications
- Must have previous management experience with CA Regulations. TJC experience and CMS experience as well.
- ARRT, CRT, Fluoro License required
- BLS Certification required
