Installation and Dismantle (I&D) Technician – Tradeshow & Exhibit Industry
At 2020 Exhibits, we create custom made exhibits and booth rentals for trade shows and events. We specialize in designing, fabricating, installing and dismantling large- scale custom and rental exhibits, branded corporate interiors, and engaging environments worldwide.
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Installation and Dismantle (I&D) Technician to join our tradeshow and event production team.
The I&D Technician is responsible for the assembly, installation, and dismantling of custom and modular exhibits at convention centers, event venues, and other locations across the country. This role plays a critical part in ensuring our clients’ displays are installed on time, safely, and to the highest standard of quality.
M-F / 8am-5pm/OT & Weekends as needed

Key Responsibilities:
- Install and dismantle exhibit booths, displays, signage, flooring, and furnishings per setup instructions, drawings, or supervision
- Load and unload materials from trucks and crates efficiently and safely
- Follow all on-site safety regulations, and venue policies
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of work areas before, during, and after events
- Use hand and power tools, ladders, and mechanical equipment as required
- Assist in managing and documenting inventory of exhibit components and tools
- Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and supervisors to ensure job requirements are met
- Identify and report any damage, shortages, or repair needs for exhibit components
- Adhere to tight deadlines and fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail
- Travel to various show locations, often including overnight or extended stays
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or trades experience a plus
- Prior experience in exhibit installation/dismantle, carpentry, events, or related fields preferred
- Basic knowledge of construction, tools, and hardware
- Ability to read and interpret floorplans, setup diagrams, and technical drawings
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on feet for long periods
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Flexibility to work variable hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, based on event schedules
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus
Work Environment: In person
- Fast-paced and physically demanding environment
- Indoors at convention centers, exhibit halls, or outdoor event venues
- Exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures depending on the venue
- Travel and lodging may be required for out-of-town assignments
