This position is PRN and will work on an as needed basis. Work hours will vary, but will be between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Work days will be during the work week of Monday through Friday.

As a Phlebotomist, you will play a crucial role in the healthcare system by collecting blood samples from patients for diagnostic testing and treatment purposes. Your expertise in venipuncture and specimen collection will ensure that samples are obtained safely and efficiently, contributing to accurate patient diagnoses. You will also be responsible for processing and labeling specimens, maintaining proper documentation, and adhering to safety protocols to ensure patient comfort and safety. Your interactions with patients will require a compassionate approach, as you will often be the first point of contact in their healthcare journey. Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a phlebotomy training program.
- Certification as a Phlebotomist from a recognized certifying body.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a clinical or laboratory setting.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety standards and procedures.
- Additional certifications in related areas such as CPR or first aid.
Responsibilities:
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws on patients of all ages.
- Collect, label, and process blood specimens according to established protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of patient information and specimen collection.
- Ensure compliance with safety and infection control procedures.
- Provide excellent patient care by addressing concerns and ensuring comfort during the blood collection process.
