Location: Long Island City, NY
Job Type: Contract
Schedule: Monday–Friday (Weekends Required)
Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Hours: Part-time / 5 days per week
Job Summary
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Telemetry Technician responsible for continuous cardiac monitoring, ECG interpretation, and identification of life-threatening arrhythmias in an acute care hospital setting. The role requires strong attention to detail, rapid response to rhythm changes, and collaboration with nursing and clinical teams.
Responsibilities

Perform continuous ECG and cardiac rhythm monitoring

Analyze ECG strips and identify arrhythmias and critical rhythm changes

Respond promptly to monitor alarms and escalate critical findings

Assist in initiating emergency response codes when necessary

Record and document cardiac rhythms during codes and clinical events

Perform electrocardiograms with correct electrode placement

Communicate clearly with charge nurses, physicians, and clinical staff

Enter and verify orders in the electronic medical record system

Retrieve and relay laboratory results to appropriate clinical staff

Ensure accurate documentation in compliance with hospital standards

Operate and troubleshoot telemetry and monitoring equipment

Maintain patient safety through continuous cardiac observation
Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent

Previous telemetry or ECG monitoring experience preferred

Strong knowledge of cardiac rhythms and arrhythmia interpretation

Ability to respond quickly to critical patient changes

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Ability to work in a high-acuity hospital environment

Basic computer and EMR skills preferred
