Position Title: Registered Nurse – Wound Care
Location: Apple Valley, CA
Pay Rate (Local): Up to $56.00/hour
Pay Rate (Travel): Up to $70.00/hour
Weekly Hours: 36 hours
Schedule: Day Shift – 3x12 hours (11:00 AM – 11:30 PM) | Block scheduling available
Duration: 13 Weeks (with strong possibility of extension)
Position Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Wound Care Registered Nurse to provide specialized wound assessment, treatment, and ongoing management for patients with acute and chronic wounds in an acute care hospital setting. This role requires strong clinical expertise in advanced wound care therapies and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive wound assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Provide advanced wound treatments, including debridement and wound VAC therapy
- Manage pressure ulcers, venous and arterial ulcers, surgical wounds, and trauma-related wounds
- Apply and manage appropriate wound dressings and therapies
- Educate patients and families on wound care management and prevention strategies
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams
- Document patient care and progress accurately using Epic EMR
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control and patient safety standards
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of acute hospital experience (required)
- Strong hands-on wound care experience (mandatory)
- Experience with wound VAC therapy (required)
- Ability to manage complex wound cases independently
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
Licensure & Certifications
- Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license (required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
- Wound Care Certification or WOCN Certification (required)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (preferred)
