Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An opportunity is available for a skilled Occupational Therapist to provide specialized services within a school setting in Ellsworth, ME. This contract position is ideal for an OT with experience in educational environments, supporting students from kindergarten through 12th grade. The role focuses on delivering effective interventions tailored to students' needs, enhancing their ability to participate fully in school activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for K-12 students
  • Implement therapeutic interventions that support students' academic and functional performance
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to integrate therapy goals into the classroom setting
  • Participate in Extended School Year (ESY) services during the summer months
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes in compliance with school policies

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Occupational Therapy license with experience in school-based settings
  • Strong understanding of pediatric therapy and educational systems
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to coordinate care effectively
  • Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule

Position Details:

  • Location: Ellsworth, ME
  • Contract role covering ESY (summer services in July)
  • Schedule: 2 days per week, Tuesday through Thursday (flexible day selection)
  • Work hours in the morning, supporting interventions during the school day
