A 13-week contract opportunity is available for an experienced Med/Surg RN skilled in managing diverse patient populations within a dynamic hospital setting. This role is based in Boonville, IN, at a well-established medical-surgical unit specializing in a blend of medical and post-surgical care.
Location Overview:

Schedule/Hours:
- 12-hour day shifts, 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
- Guaranteed minimum 36 hours per week, with option to accept up to 48 hours
- Three weekends every six-week schedule
- Mid-shift and cross-campus float within skillset required (with prior notice)
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active compact RN license required
- AHA BLS and NIHSS certifications must be current
- Minimum two years strong Med/Surg nursing experience, including trauma Level II and at least one travel assignment
- Recent EPIC charting experience essential (checkoff class required)
- Proficient in IV fluid/antibiotic therapy, heparin drips, wound care including wound vacs, and basic telemetry
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to a 32-bed medical-surgical unit (expanding to 37 beds) with patients requiring varied clinical interventions such as CHF, COPD, infections, post-surgical care, and complex wound management
- Collaborate within a unit known for strong leadership and teamwork
- Participate in teaching/precepting nursing students and new hires as required
- Adapt to a fast-paced environment with changes and float assignments across campuses

- Orientation schedule is bi-weekly with guaranteed set hours post-orientation
- Contract length: 13 weeks starting early April with flexible start dates
