This opportunity seeks a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) specializing in pediatrics to provide contract coverage for a leave at an elementary school. Located in Brockton, MA, the role involves delivering speech and language therapy services to students from kindergarten through 8th grade, including some with significant needs related to Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in school-aged children.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to student needs.
- Collaborate with educators and families to support students communication goals.
- Monitor progress and adjust treatment strategies accordingly.
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with educational regulations.
Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist certification or licensure.
- Experience working with school-aged children in educational settings.
- Strong knowledge of speech and language development and disorders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to customize therapy approaches to diverse student populations.
