Welder Position Summary
The Welder performs MIG repair welding on high-volume production parts, ensuring quality and accuracy by correcting and finishing components after robotic welding processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MIG repair welds on parts requiring rework
- Set up and adjust jigs and fixtures for production
- Operate welding equipment to meet production standards
- Verify part quality using measuring tools
- Follow work instructions and equipment guidelines
- Perform tasks such as buffing, spot welding, deburring, and packing
- Maintain accurate production and quality records
- Keep work area clean, organized, and safe
- Collaborate with team members to maintain workflow
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines
Essential Skills
- MIG welding experience with ability to pass a weld test
- Manufacturing or hands-on welding experience preferred
- Ability to perform repair (not fabrication) welding
- Experience setting up jigs and fixtures
- Familiarity with welding tools and production equipment
- Ability to read and follow instructions and basic blueprints
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Additional Qualifications
- Experience with machine loading, spot welding, and fixtures
- Familiarity with buffing, deburring, sorting, and packing
- Comfortable in a fast-paced production environment
- Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation

Work Environment
This role is based in a climate-controlled manufacturing facility. Work involves MIG welding equipment, fixtures, and production tools in a fast-paced setting focused on meeting daily output and quality targets. PPE is required, and maintaining a safe, clean workspace is essential.

This is a Contract position based out of Shelbyville, KY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.50 - $27.00/hr.
