Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available at an elementary school serving students from pre-kindergarten through 8th grade in Washington, DC. This contract role offers the opportunity to work onsite with a diverse student population and contribute to their communication development and academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students PK-8.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) based on student needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress.
  • Provide direct therapy services and conduct teletherapy sessions as needed.
  • Maintain clear and timely documentation of evaluations, therapy sessions, and progress reports.

Qualifications:

  • Current SLP certification (CCC-SLP) with eligibility to work in school settings.
  • Experience in pediatrics, schools, and healthcare environments is preferred.
  • Familiarity with teletherapy platforms and techniques.
  • Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with children, families, and educational teams.

Location: Washington, DC
Duration: Contract for the current school year (CSY)
Schedule: Full time, onsite
Start Date: ASAP
Compensation: $40-55/hour, commensurate with experience
