Optical Technician
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Measure, fit, adjust and repair eyewear, including determining proper frame fit.
· Prepare work orders for the laboratory and verify finished product.
· Knowledge of changing trends, technologies, and insurance billing.
· Repairing minor issues with broken and damaged eyeglasses.
· Ability to use all optical equipment.
· Proper purchasing of supplies.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
· Basic computer and math skills.
· Knowledge of a typical medical practice.
· 2 years of optical experience preferred but not required.
· Ability to stay calm in emergency or stressful situations.
PHYSCAL/MENTAL ABILILITIES AND PROCESSES:
· A typical office environment requiring standing, sitting, walking, bending, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
