This position ensures all deliveries and material pickups are completed on time and in compliance with all DOT regulations and company safety standards.This position is Monday – Friday, no weekends required. Local and Regional Deliveries.

  • Operate company trucks to transport goods locally or regionally based on daily delivery schedules.
  • Load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual methods as required.
  • Ensure products are properly secured and protected for transport.
  • Verify delivery documentation, including bills of lading, shipping manifests, and delivery receipts.
  • Inspect vehicles before and after trips; report and document any mechanical issues or safety concerns.
  • Maintain accurate driving logs and comply with DOT regulations, including hours of service and vehicle maintenance logs.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and customers regarding delivery status or issues.
  • Assist in general warehouse or shipping operations when not driving, such as staging shipments or organizing materials.
  • Follow all safety protocols, traffic laws, and company policies while operating vehicles.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures including Health, Safety and Quality Assurance policies.
  • Report injuries, accidents, near misses or unsafe conditions to a Supervisor or Manager immediately.
  • Other duties as assigned

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be 21 years or older
  • Ability to pass DOT physical & drug screen
  • Valid driver's license (clean MVR)
  • Current DOT medical card (Preferred)
  • Experience with flatbeds, box trucks, or tractor-trailers as applicable.
  • Forklift certification a plus (or willingness to obtain).
  • Good communication and time management skills.
  • Ability to complete basic paperwork and operate vehicle GPS or route management tools.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Sitting for extended periods while driving.
  • Frequent climbing in and out of truck cabs and trailers.
  • Bending, stooping, and reaching when loading or unloading cargo.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Driving in various weather and road conditions.
  • Working in and around loading docks, warehouses, and industrial yards.
  • Exposure to noise, dust, and temperature fluctuations when outside of the vehicle.
  • Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) where applicable.
