Our client, a leader in the logistics industry, is seeking a Logistics Specialist to join their team. As a Logistics Specialist, you will be part of the Operations department supporting the Freight Forwarding team. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully with the organization.
Job Title: Logistics Specialist
Location: Naperville, IL
Pay Range: $22 per hour
What's the Job?
- Provide logistics support, including order entry, routing, and dispatching.
- Maintain customer profile information and enter loads from customer tenders into the system.
- Monitor daily pick-ups and deliveries, ensuring timely and safe arrival of loads.
- Investigate product overages, shortages, and damages, completing appropriate documentation.
- Schedule and reschedule delivery appointments, providing detailed routing instructions to drivers.
What's Needed?
- General knowledge of the transportation industry.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Strong problem-solving skills and common sense understanding of instructions.
- No prior experience required; a willingness to learn is essential.
