Job Description

QuistMD | The Flexibility, Sports & Rehabilitation Clinic (www.quistmd.com) is an innovative, growing medical office in Chevy Chase, DC. Specializing in sports medicine and rehabilitation, we integrate hands-on physical therapy and osteopathic manual treatment in the spectrum of musculoskeletal medicine. We provide thorough, innovative, high quality care to every patient, developing meaningful relationships with them and their families. Our close-knit team is collaborative, creative and always looking for new ways to improve, learn and grow.

We are seeking a full-time Physical Therapist, either a DPT or experienced MPT/MSPT, with strong manual skills. Given our multidisciplinary model, there is an opportunity to learn from colleagues and receive extensive clinical training. We promote an independent and collaborative relationship between all practitioners.

Our Physical Therapists are responsible for administering a treatment program with specific goals; assessing, evaluating and charting progress; and educating patients on appropriate home exercises.

This is an opportunity for a therapist who wants to work directly with patients without being rushed. Patient appointments are typically 1 hour long and often conducted in private treatment rooms. We are a patient-centric practice, focused on providing quality care and a positive, empowering experience. Our practice is growing, and we are hiring to support this growth (rather than to fill a vacancy). This role can be part-time or full-time.

A successful team member will:

  • Stand independently delivering therapies as a primary provider
  • Collaborate and receive guidance and clinical support from an osteopathic physician and experienced therapist team
  • Possess excellent manual therapy skills, gained either through experience and training in physical therapy, or through working as a massage therapist, athletic trainer, or other related fields
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Serve as a key member of an integrated therapeutic team that includes an osteopathic physiatrist, physical therapists, personal trainers, and neuromuscular massage therapists
  • Actively participate in weekly patient review meeting
  • Master to proficiency the clinics core flexibility and strength technique, Active Isolated Stretching (AIS) (on-the-job training available if no previous experience)
  • Effectively and efficiently complete treatment documentation
  • Ability to work closely with all clinic staff to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and create a world-class clinical team
  • Have DPT degree from CAPTE-accredited program
  • Have an active Physical Therapy License (We will cover costs of getting your DC licensure after hire)

Relocation assistance is available.

We offer generous benefits:

Health insurance

Dental insurance

Retirement plan

Paid vacation and sick leave

Paid holidays

Quarterly productivity bonus

Work-life balance

Professional development funding, especially for dry needling certification and manual therapy training

In-house clinical education

Team culture is collaborative, wellness-oriented, growth-oriented, and committed to diversity and inclusion
