We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join a well-established construction company. Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards and audit requirements.
• Develop and oversee job costing, material costing, and labor tracking systems for construction projects.
• Utilize QuickBooks to create detailed financial reports, including spending analyses by material type.
• Collaborate with project managers and conduct regular visits to the shop floor to monitor budgets and project expenditures.
• Manage core accounting functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger operations.
• Administer HR-related tasks, including onboarding and benefits management.
• Coordinate inventory management and supply ordering to support operational needs.
• Identify areas for process improvement and implement strategies to modernize financial tracking and billing methods.
• Extensive experience in construction accounting and financial management.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks for reporting and analysis.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex financial challenges.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities to work with both field and office teams.
• Familiarity with job costing and inventory controls preferred.
• Willingness to engage directly with the shop floor for hands-on project insights.
• Experience in HR administration and onboarding processes is advantageous.
