Position Summary: A Manufacturing Coordinator plays a crucial role in the planning and execution of manufacturing processes. This position requires a blend of technical knowledge, organizational skills, and the ability to work well with a team. The primary focus is on coordinating the various components of production, from inventory management to ensuring safety protocols are followed. A successful Manufacturing Coordinator ensures that production goals are met on time and within budget, while maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities: (Includes the following, but not limited to)
- Coordinate production schedules and manufacturing activities
- Oversee inventory levels and ensure materials are available for production
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve any production issues
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date production records
- Ensure timely delivery of finished products
- Assist in the implementation of lean manufacturing techniques
- Monitor workflow and adjust schedules as necessary to meet production targets
- Train and supervise production staff
Work experience requirements:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing coordination role
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and best practices
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles
- Proficiency in inventory management software
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Project management experience
- Knowledge of quality control standards
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of manufacturing safety standards
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team
- Good time management skills
- Basic understanding of production scheduling
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime when needed
Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
Position Type/Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday. Typically shift hours can be from 7/9am to 4/6pm, hours can be modified at any given time as best fits work demand. Overtime can be expected and required based on the needs of Production.
Work Environment:
This job operates in a warehouse production environment. The employee is exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, fumes, and odors. This position is in a NON climate control warehouse.
