Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This contract opportunity is ideal for an Occupational Therapist with experience in school and healthcare settings, particularly those skilled in fine and gross motor skills development. Located in Absecon, NJ, this role offers 5 to 10 hours of work per week during the 2026/27 school year, allowing flexible scheduling while making a meaningful impact on student health and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services focused on fine and gross motor skill enhancement in a school environment.
- Collaborate with educators and healthcare professionals to design and implement individualized therapy plans.
- Support students in achieving functional goals that promote independence and participation in school activities.
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapies and student progress according to program guidelines.
- Adapt therapeutic interventions to meet diverse learning and physical needs within the school setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience in school-based therapy.
- Background in home health or healthcare OT settings is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of fine and gross motor skill assessments and interventions.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with school staff and families.
- Commitment to enhancing student well-being through targeted therapeutic strategies.
