Position Overview
Honest Abe Roofing, a leader in residential roofing, is seeking a Sales Manager to lead and develop our Dallas-area sales team. The ideal candidate is a seasoned in-home sales professional with a proven track record in leadership. This role requires a driven, results-oriented individual who can coach, inspire, and hold sales representatives accountable while building a strong, high-performance culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Coaching
- Lead, mentor, and manage the Dallas roofing sales team to consistently achieve and exceed sales goals.
- Conduct regular training sessions, ride-alongs, and one-on-one coaching to sharpen sales techniques and closing strategies.
- Foster a culture of accountability, motivation, and continuous improvement.
- Sales Management
- Set individual and team performance goals aligned with company objectives.
- Monitor sales activity, pipeline management, and conversion rates, ensuring full follow-up on all leads.
- Implement sales processes and best practices that maximize in-home closing success.
- Strategy & Execution
- Develop and execute sales strategies tailored to the Dallas market.
- Partner with marketing and operations teams to ensure alignment on lead generation, customer experience, and project execution.
- Identify opportunities for growth, including upselling, cross-selling, and referral programs.
- Performance Tracking & Reporting
- Track, analyze, and report on KPIs such as close rate, average job size, and revenue per rep.
- Utilize CRM and reporting tools to ensure accurate sales forecasting.
- Provide recommendations to senior leadership based on market trends and team performance.
Qualifications
- Experience
- Minimum 10 years of in-home sales experience, preferably in high-ticket home improvement, construction, or roofing industries.
- At least 3 years of proven success in sales leadership, managing and motivating a team of sales professionals.
- Skills & Competencies
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to motivate and hold others accountable.
- Deep understanding of in-home sales processes, consultative selling, and objection handling.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to track KPIs and make data-driven decisions.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Tech-savvy with experience using CRM systems and digital sales tools.
- Other Requirements
- Must be based in or willing to relocate to Plano, TX.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed to support the sales cycle.
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
