Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This onsite Speech Language Pathologist role offers an engaging opportunity to support K-8 students in a school setting in Amherst, MA. Working 35 hours per week, this contract position involves delivering high-quality speech therapy services across elementary and middle school grades, helping students develop essential communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in K-8 students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with students needs
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with all regulatory requirements
- Provide guidance and training to support staff and teachers related to speech-language goals
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Massachusetts Speech-Language Pathologist license
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology preferred
- Experience working with pediatric populations in school and healthcare settings
- Ability to manage caseload effectively, focusing on students from kindergarten through 8th grade
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage students, families, and team members
